bike ride

This morning I went on a bike ride, but decided to get out of Muncie to start the ride. On the ride I observed a few things...
1. I saw more dogs chasing me than cars on the road... 4 dogs vs 3 cars
(Luckily I was faster than the dogs!)
2. It's better to ride between two corn fields than bean fields... they block the wind better!
3. It's fun to not know where you are going and learn your way around by exploration.
4. There are a LOT of small creatures around fields. I saw 1 frog, 4 caterpillars, and about 1,000 moths.
5. East Central Indiana is pretty FLAT!

How about road kills? I think that Missouri leads the nation in road kills per mile. And I learned this summer that in the midwest, there is ALWAYS wind. Yuck! I guess you can look at it as your new challenge since there aren't any hills ;-) I'm glad you're out riding! K-Mac

I'm' laughing, because you describe my home-state very well! You're not going to be doing hill work for a while! But just wait til harvest ... the wind will whip across the fields then!

Ummmm.... you noticed caterpillars?!?!? I think you need to pump those legs a little harder there... maybe try to break 2 MPH. :o)
